Senior Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Embed quality practices across the team, ensuring ownership and discussion of quality at every stage of delivery - Automate and integrate testing at API, database, and UI levels (Cypress) - Collaborate with developers on coding and testing, promoting shift-left and shift-right approaches - Think from a user perspective, exploring edge cases, anticipating risks, and representing the customer viewpoint - Contribute to continuous improvement, advocating for an automation-first approach and reducing manual work Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of professional experience in Quality Engineering or a similar role - 4+ years of experience in API testing, with a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain automated service-level test suites - 4+ years of experience in UI automation with Cypress, building reliable, maintainable, and scalable automation frameworks - Strong database and SQL skills, capable of validating data flows and integrating database checks into test pipelines - Effective communicator, capable of sharing findings, coaching teammates, and representing quality across the team - Proactive and collaborative mindset, proficient in glue work, pairing with programmers, and embedding quality practices throughout the lifecycle - Proficiency in exploratory testing, considered a core baseline skill for all quality engineers Nice to Have: - Working knowledge of AWS - Familiarity with CI/CD practices and a DevOps mindset Additional Company Details: At Smart Working, you'll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in full-stack quality engineering, collaborating with a global engineering team.
