Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Requirements Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in quality management and testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python coding, API automation, and talent management. This role involves defining quality standards, driving testing strategies, and supporting the QA lead in achieving quality excellence. Job Responsibilities: Quality Management: Overall 3-5+ years of experience in Quality Management skills. Defining quality standards and metrics for the current project/product. Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance, and issue tracking. API and Integration Testing: 2+ years of experience in API and integration testing. Developing and executing robust API automation frameworks to ensure functional coverage. Team Support and Escalations: Backing up the QA lead and working with all stakeholders to ensure that the quality metrics are reviewed, closed, and agreed upon. Acting as the focal point of contact for the QA lead in assisting with all escalations related to testing and quality assurance. Innovation and Standards: Setting quality standards for the team in various new testing technologies in the industry. Exploring and implementing new strategies for automation testing and day-to-day work processes like Agile and Scrum. Knowledge Sharing: Gaining knowledge of the quality matrix and resolving all queries. Providing guidance on testing strategies, metrics, and quality improvements. Team Management: Assigning tasks to engineers based on individual strengths. Organizing behavioral, functional, and non-functional training needs for the team. Conducting team meetings to understand and review current risks and motivating the team to resolve them. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintaining cordial relationships between cross-functional teams like development, configuration management, program management, and product managers. Ensuring effective communication with the development team and product owners. Job Requirements: Technical Skills: Strong Python coding experience. 2+ years of experience with API automation. Knowledge of quality standards and metrics for software testing. Team and Talent Management: Experience in employee management, talent, and recruiting management. Solid team management skills and effective team management practices. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for cross-functional communication. Ability to make decisions quickly in critical situations. Responsibility, integrity, and sociability. Additional Skills: Finding and arranging training needs for the team.
