We Offer

As a part of our team, you will be responsible for validating data pipelines, APIs, and server-side components to ensure high-quality, reliable software systems. This is a hands-on role involving test case design, data validation, backend workflow analysis, and close collaboration with developers, DBAs, and product managers.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and understand business requirements, system architecture, and data flows

Create, execute, and maintain manual test cases for backend components, services, and APIs

Perform SQL-based data validation across relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)

Validate data integrity in ETL processes and perform database reconciliation

Test RESTful APIs and verify request/response payloads, headers, status codes, and schema

Work closely with backend developers to ensure services are testable, observable, and reliable

Troubleshoot issues by querying databases, reviewing logs, and analyzing backend workflows

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives

Collaborate with automation engineers to identify areas suitable for automation and performance testing

Document defects clearly with reproducible steps and collaborate on timely resolutions

You Offer:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in manual QA testing with at least 2+ years focused on backend and data testing

Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data verification and test validation

Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Swagger

Solid understanding of database concepts, normalization, data modeling, and indexing

Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure, JIRA) and test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL testing.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Experience in performance testing using JMeter is a strong plus.

Basic knowledge of scripting or test automation is a plus

ISTQB certification or similar QA certification is a plus
