Senior Python Developer (Fast API and AI)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services using

  FastAPI

  .
• Optimize backend applications for performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design and manage database schemas; write optimized SQL queries and improve

  PostgreSQL

  performance.
• Develop, schedule, and maintain workflows using

  Apache Airflow

  , ensuring reliability and timely execution.
• Build and manage

  Dockerized microservices

  , automate deployments, and integrate applications into

  CI/CD pipelines

  .
• Integrate backend systems with

  LLMs and Generative AI services

  (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face).
• Implement API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and access control.
• Write clean, modular, testable, and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural planning.
• Collaborate closely with frontend, AI/ML, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, and continuously enhance technical skills.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience building

  production-grade backend systems

• Strong proficiency in

  with hands-on experience using

• Solid understanding of

  REST API design

  , asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with

  PostgreSQL

  , including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with

  Apache Airflow

  , including DAG design, scheduling, and workflow orchestration.
• Practical knowledge of

  Docker

  , containerized development, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with

  LLMs / Generative AI

  , API integrations, or AI-driven backend features (preferred).
• Familiarity with

  cloud platforms

  such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and scalable system architectures.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, including

  OAuth2, JWT

  , and API gateway concepts.
