Job Title: Production Engineer / Senior Production Engineer Department : Production Automotive Division Location : Bangalore Reporting To: Plant Manager Experience : 5+ years of Experience Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Production Engineer / Senior Production Engineer from the automotive industry to join our Automotive Division in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to planning and execution. A strong understanding of lean manufacturing, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives is essential. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for Manpower, Machine, and Material (3M) planning to meet production targets efficiently. Plan production schedules based on customer requirements and ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time availability of raw materials. Liaise with internal departments like Purchasing, Marketing, and Stores to prioritize production schedules. Apply and promote Lean Manufacturing Principles for waste reduction and process optimization. Interpret and work with engineering drawings for accurate production execution. Prior experience or understanding of fasteners manufacturing is a strong advantage. Implement and maintain 5S practices on the shop floor; manage and guide operators from diverse backgrounds. Drive Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Projects to enhance productivity and quality. Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adopt new tools, techniques, and applications. Maintain daily reports using Google Sheets and Documents for production and planning activities. Prepare and analyze operator efficiency reports based on defined cycle times. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and AS9100 standards throughout production operations. Required Qualifications: B.E. (Mechanical) with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR Diploma (Mechanical) with a minimum of 7 years of experience Strong background in automotive manufacturing environment is essential Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) Working knowledge of lean tools, 5S, Kaizen, and process improvement methodologies Understanding of industry standards such as IATF16949 & AS9100 Key Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Leadership qualities with hands-on shopfloor management experience Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment High energy and enthusiasm with a continuous learning mindset
