Job Description

As the Productivity Compression IMB in Siemens Energy Transformation of Industry Division, your primary role is to drive cost-out projects from inception to full implementation within specific timelines and budget constraints. This ensures that cost savings are available for use by the cost estimating and sales/proposal departments during the bidding process. Key Responsibilities: - Enhance competitiveness and profitability of the compression product line for Turbo & reciprocating compressors. - Develop and monitor the fulfillment of frame contracts and achievement of productivity targets, including conducting benchmarks. - Ensure proper input and tracking of product cost-out initiatives/measures in relevant product cost tracking software (PRIOneer + PRIMO). - Utilize extensive experience in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and ideally Access. - Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience of purchasing fundamentals. - Participate effectively in teams and collaborate cross-functionally when required. - Assess and establish priorities for yourself and others, exhibit flexibility, and communicate a sense of urgency. - Update databases periodically or as required, prepare and submit various reports as needed. - Maintain the integrity of purchasing data in the system with error-free transactions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Petroleum). - Minimum of 5-8 years of industry experience in roles such as Application Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, or similar. - Experience with turbomachinery or related rotating equipment and associated auxiliary systems is advantageous. - Working knowledge of how design, technical, automation, sourcing, and logistics decisions impact costs and/or schedules. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
