Role Overview: As a Senior Structural Supervisor with a minimum of 12+ years of post-graduate experience, specifically in building structural supervision within the UAE/GCC region, your role involves technical oversight and quality assurance of structural works on-site. You will ensure compliance with international codes, local authority requirements, and project specifications. Your responsibilities include reviewing and approving contractor technical submittals, shop drawings, and calculations, providing guidance to inspection teams, and coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams to resolve site issues. Strong technical expertise in structural engineering, proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD, SAP ETABS, and SAFE, along with basic BIM/REVIT knowledge are essential. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, technical meetings, and reporting, as well as the ability to adopt innovative solutions for site challenges, are also key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Minimum 13+ years of experience in building structural supervision - Experience and knowledge in using international codes and standards - Experience in structural supervision projects - Excellent presentation and communication abilities - Proficiency in structural software such as AutoCAD, SAP ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RAM - Basic knowledge of BIM and the REVIT platform - Knowledge of local authorities" requirements - Review and approval of all contractor structural/civil technical submittals & sub-contractors shop drawings and calculations - Leading and guiding inspection teams on-site from a technical point - Replying to RFIs and coordinating with other disciplines and design teams - Performing technical research and technical reports - Following up with site observations and non-compliances - Reviewing and dealing with design calculations, analysis models, and BIM models Qualifications Required: - Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned (during site visits) - Responsible for providing approvals for the contractor's structural technical submittals - Collaborating/communicating with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities - Supporting the inspection team to resolve any site activity issues - Adopting creative and innovative solutions to site problems/clashes and developing appropriate supportive technical documentation/research reports - Coordinating with the design team regarding the specialist's packages approvals by authorities - Informing and discussing design change decisions with colleagues to ensure project requirements are met - Reviewing contractor variation orders regarding structural/civil activities Additional Details: AtkinsRalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization committed to transforming the world's infrastructure and energy systems.
