Our Power Networks business segment specializes in conceptual and system studies, owners engineering, and detailed design of HV substations up to 400 kV, Power Plants, and Overhead Lines. We also design Power Networks for various applications such as Oil/Gas installations, Industrial Cities, Multi-Use developments, and Heavy industries for major clients in the UK and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Lead Designer - Structural to join our offshore renewables team at our GDC office in Bangalore. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of talented professionals on the concept, FEED, and detailed design of major offshore assets. Your responsibilities will include managing the CAD delivery process, coordinating with local and overseas offices, and ensuring the successful completion of design projects. As a Civil Designer - Substation, you will be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: - Technical expertise in drafting works related to Civil/Structural Engineering components of industrial projects. - Proficiency in AUTO CAD software. - Ability to conceptualize structural elements in detail. - Strong understanding of drafting aspects in civil engineering, especially civil engineering structures, foundations (including Pile Foundations), and equipment foundations (Static & Dynamic) related to the Power Business. - Leadership skills to guide a team of Junior CAD Assistants. - Familiarity with international detailing standards such as BS, Eurocodes, IBC, ACI, AISC & ASCE codes. - Experience in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ). - Proficiency in drafting and detailing works for both RCC and Steel structures. - Preferred experience with Revit Software and knowledge of PDMS and MicroStation. Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate should possess strong conceptualization abilities, excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. You should be able to effectively communicate complex detailing issues to decision-makers and project teams. Additionally, you must have good oral and written communication skills, a willingness to travel, and the ability to thrive in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment. Mandatory Requirements: - Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 to 8 years of relevant industrial experience. - Understanding of engineering concepts and ability to collaborate with different departments. Desirable Requirements: - Experience with software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar design packages. Additional Information: - Familiarity with SP3D, MicroStation, PDMS, or similar design packages is advantageous.
