Senior Platform Engineer

AuxoAI is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (Lead) with a focus on AWS administration expertise to design and manage cloud infrastructure while contributing to data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and data platform integrations. This role entails a combination of technical leadership and hands-on implementation to ensure the organization's infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient. Responsibilities include defining, implementing, and managing scalable platform architecture aligned with business and technical requirements. Leading AWS infrastructure design and operations, encompassing IAM, VPC, networking, security, and cost optimization. Designing and optimizing cloud-based storage, compute resources, and orchestration workflows to support data platforms. Collaborating with Data Engineers and DevOps teams to streamline the deployment of data pipelines and infrastructure components. Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Integrating platform capabilities with internal tools, analytics platforms, and business applications. Establishing cloud engineering best practices, including infrastructure security, reliability, and observability. Providing technical mentorship to engineering team members and leading knowledge-sharing initiatives. Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing solutions for reliability and scalability. Driving best practices in cloud engineering, security, and infrastructure as code. Requirements for the role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. 6+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles. Expertise in AWS core services (IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.) and managing secure, scalable environments. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. A strong understanding of data platforms, pipelines, and workflow orchestration in cloud-native environments. Experience integrating infrastructure with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Familiarity with cloud security best practices, access management, and cost optimization strategies. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across cloud and data systems. Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.,
