Senior PHP/Laravel Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to join our backend team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Laravel, RESTful API development, and cloud deployments on AWS. This role demands strong debugging skills, scalable architecture design, and ownership of end-to-end project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Design, develop, and optimize applications using PHP (Laravel framework).

Build and maintain RESTful APIs with secure authentication (JWT, OAuth2).

Ensure scalability, performance, and fault tolerance in backend services.

Conduct code reviews, mentor juniors, and enforce coding best practices.

Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth AWS deployments (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).

Project Contribution

Work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure system stability.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation for faster, reliable releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong expertise in PHP, Laravel (9/10), and Composer package management.

Hands-on with MySQL/PostgreSQL, query optimization, and database design.

Proficiency in AWS services for hosting and scaling applications.

Advanced debugging skills (Xdebug, profiling, logging, performance monitoring).

Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

Experience with Redis, Horizon, Octane or other caching/performance tools.

Exposure to API Gateway, microservices architecture.

Familiarity with Vue.js / React for full-stack contribution.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
