Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior PHP Team Leader with deep Laravel expertise to manage and guide our backend development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in building scalable web applications using the Laravel framework.Key Responsibilities:Lead a team of PHP/Laravel developers through all stages of the software development lifecycleArchitect, develop, and maintain robust Laravel-based web applicationsReview code, ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high coding standardsCollaborate with frontend developers, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutionsPlan sprints, assign tasks, and ensure timely project deliveriesMentor and support junior developers, conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessionsOptimize application performance and scalabilityOversee API integrations, database design, and backend logicEvaluate and implement new Laravel features and toolsHandle production issues and lead root-cause analysisRequired Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent5+ years of experience in PHP developmentStrong expertise in Laravel (v8 or higher)In-depth understanding of MVC architecture, REST APIs, and Eloquent ORMSolid experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databasesGood understanding of frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus)Familiarity with tools like Git, Docker, Composer, PHPUnit, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with caching tools (Redis, Memcached) and job queuesExcellent problem-solving skills and debugging techniquesStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
