About the Role:

As a senior PHP developer, you will handle complex projects and offer technical expertise. Your experience and knowledge will be critical in driving the success of our web development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the development of complex PHP projects
• Architecting and designing scalable web applications
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements
• Ensuring the security and performance of PHP applications
• Making critical technical decisions and recommendations
• Troubleshooting and resolving challenging technical issues
• Conducting performance analysis and optimization of databases
• Implementing automated testing and continuous integration practices
• Evaluating and integrating new PHP libraries and technologies
• Contributing to the development of coding standards and best practices within the organization
• Leading our cross-functional teams in project planning and execution
• Providing input on technology and tool selection for projects
• Mentoring and coaching junior and mid-level developers to enhance their skills

Required skills & experience:

• Extensive experience in PHP development, including working with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, and CodeIgniter)

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database systems and query optimization
• Advanced knowledge of PHP performance-tuning techniques
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools for deployment and infrastructure management
• Familiarity with cloud-based services and serverless architecture
• Expertise in implementing security best practices and compliance standards
• Experience with microservices architecture and API design
• Ability to lead code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies
