Senior Performance QA Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Performance QA Engineer to ensure software meets performance standards and runs efficiently. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will lead performance testing efforts, develop testing strategies, estimation, and provide mentorship to team members. As a Senior Performance QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include developing and executing comprehensive performance testing strategies and estimation. You will be in charge of selecting, implementing, and managing performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling. Additionally, you will develop and maintain performance testing scripts and frameworks for repeatable testing. It is essential to stay updated with the latest trends and tools in performance testing and integrate relevant advancements into the testing strategy. You will be required to recommend optimizations to enhance system scalability and reliability. Mentoring and training junior QA members on performance testing tools, methodologies, and best practices will also be part of your role. Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for performance testing across teams and working closely with development teams during the design phase to ensure performance considerations are incorporated early are crucial aspects of this position. Collaboration with DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines will be a key responsibility. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) and have at least 8+ years of QA experience with a minimum of 3 years in a performance testing leadership role. Technical skills required for this role include proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, excellent communication and presentation abilities, expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling), proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python, a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with performance testing, familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and distributed systems testing, as well as solid knowledge of database performance testing (e.g., SQL profiling, NoSQL benchmarking). Soft skills essential for this position include proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and excellent communication and presentation abilities.
