Job Description

As a Senior Performance Engineer at the company, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance and reliability of web, mobile, and API platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with product and technical teams to analyze, design, and translate non-functional requirements. - Conducting performance testing to ensure system capacity, reliability, and scalability. - Analyzing reports and documenting observations to identify bottlenecks. - Investigating and reporting project issues by working with various departments. - Identifying and understanding performance bottlenecks and providing tuning recommendations. - Analyzing slowdowns in frontend and backend, identifying root causes, and collaborating with teams for optimization. - Utilizing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, New Relic, AWS X-Ray, and logs for system reliability testing. - Building observability dashboards using LGTM and implementing distributed tracing and instrumentation. - Contributing actively to Performance Engineering CoE, Continues Improvement, Innovations, and Research. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure performance goals are met. - Demonstrating proven ability to work in a team and effectively communicate with stakeholders. Preferred Skills: - Experience with AWS cloud platforms and technologies. - Exposure to tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Sitespeed.io, NewRelic, AWS CloudWatch, Xray, GitHub, and Grafana. - Knowledge of frontend testing and optimization principles. - Familiarity with chaos engineering principles and practices. - Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. - Ability to work with Java, Python, or similar languages. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. - 7+ years of experience in performance engineering. - Strong experience with performance testing & engineering tools and methodologies. - Experience with performance profiling, monitoring, and tuning of complex systems. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
