Senior OT & Anaesthesia Technician

As an OT Technician and Anesthesia Technician, your role involves supervising the cleanliness of Operating rooms daily. This includes arranging the Anesthesia trolley and loading/labeling Anesthetic agents according to Anesthetists instructions. You are responsible for maintaining the drugs register day to day and refilling the stock as and when required. During surgery, you will be checking patients" vitals and maintaining records of the same. It is essential to take care of surgeons" instructions in between procedures. After each case, you are required to ensure the sterilization of OT rooms and arrange the Anesthesia trolley for the next surgery. Cleaning and disinfecting equipment like Laryngoscope with blades, Ambu bag with mask, OT table, operating lights, Ventilator tubings, and LMA Masks immediately after the case is crucial. Additionally, machines and equipment such as C-Arm, OT table, Syringe pumps, Infusion pumps, Warmer, Transport monitor, Hotline, Ultrasound, Sonosite, etc., should be cleaned, disinfected properly, and transported appropriately. Maintaining a puncture-proof container in the OT with Sodium hypochlorite solution 1% for disposing of needles post-operation is part of your responsibilities. Ensuring the cleanliness of all theatres at the end of each day and supervising bio-medical waste management are key tasks. Particularly, you should focus on cases involving retroviral positive and HbsAg positive patients while segregating and disposing of bio-medical waste. Effective coordination with the OT Incharge on all theatre-related issues is essential.
