Role Overview

As a Senior Operator CPaaS Architect, you will be at the forefront of transforming how telecom operators deliver enterprise communications. Operator CPaaS is a managed, ready-to-deploy omnichannel platform that empowers operators to offer secure, scalable, and cost-efficient messaging, voice, and digital engagement services to their enterprise customers. Leveraging flexible hosting (on-premise or customer-cloud), Operator CPaaS ensures maximum security, compliance, and rapid time-to-market, while reducing integration and operational overhead.

In this pivotal role, you will architect and drive the evolution of these platforms, integrating advanced APIs, automation, and multi-channel capabilities (SMS, voice, OTT, RCS, and more) to deliver seamless, personalized customer experiences at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product strategy, ensure regulatory alignment, and enable operators to maintain full control over branding, pricing, and customer data. Your expertise will directly influence the operators ability to unlock new revenue streams, accelerate enterprise onboarding, and differentiate in a rapidly evolving communications landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Analyze new business needs from the user community and translate them into system/platform requirements, including application/platform architectures and conceptual data models.
• Lead the creation of application, platform, system, and product roadmaps within your domain.
• Provide architectural guidance for the global IT landscape, collaborating closely with analysts, engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Decide between custom-built solutions and COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) products, ensuring optimal fit for business and technical requirements.
• Provide efforts and cost estimations for IT solutions

Stakeholder engagement & collaboration

• Plan, arrange, and facilitate meetings and workshops with client/user staff and stakeholders (Product Management, Engineering, etc.) to gather requirements and investigate systems.
• Find compromises between different user views to ensure equivalence in requirements.
• Organize and lead workshops with diverse profiles, including C-level stakeholders, to drive consensus and clarity.

Strategy & Innovation

• Contribute to the definition of the corporate multi-year strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and technology roadmaps.
• Constantly optimize the IT and network environment to keep pace with the rapidly evolving CPaaS market.
• Lead and support the definition and evaluation of multiple RFI/RFPs.

Operational Excellence

• Assist projects by supporting development, scope & change management, and test phases.
• Assist process managers in defining business processes around solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of architecture and solutions.
• Support users and operational (support) teams in solution adoption and troubleshooting.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as an architect, engineer, or IT business/functional analyst in CPaaS or related domains.
• Strong knowledge in Billing, Reporting, Charging, Messaging, and Communication channels (SMS, voice, video, chat, RCS, WhatsApp, Viber, etc.).
• Deep expertise in designing and deploying robust communications solutions, both on-premise and in customer-cloud environments, that are architected for high scalability, stringent security, and operational resilience.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure seamless integration with customer OSS/BSS systems, adhering to best practices for reliability, data protection, and compliance.
• Proven track record in delivering architectures that support mission-critical workloads, enable rapid scaling, and maintain end-to-end security across diverse deployment models.
• Familiarity with modern IT concepts (SDLC, Cloud, APIs, Big Data, AI/ML, DevOps, event-driven architectures, Entreprise Architecture frameworks etc.).
• Understanding of security standards, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Experience with developer tools, SDKs, and documentation for enabling internal and external teams is an asset.
• Ability to drive measurable business outcomes (customer experience, cost reduction, innovation) is an asset.
• Experience in an international business environment and with distributed teams is an asset.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills; excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills; adaptability, resilience, and stakeholder management.
• Eager for continuous learning and improvement; proactively identifies and implements improvements in architecture and processes.
• Fluent in English.
