Job Description

As a Senior Finance ORM Manager at Swiss Re, you will play a crucial role in overseeing operational risks in the financial processes of both the Group and business units. Your expertise in Group Finance processes, particularly in reserving actuarial processes, risks, and mitigation strategies, will be vital. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to risk assessments and evaluations to shape risk management strategies. - Lead operational risk management for Group Finance activities, with a focus on reserving & actuarial areas. - Support and guide teams in identifying and addressing operational risks. - Conduct regular assessments and walkthroughs. - Contribute to risk reporting for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. - Provide input for assessing the financial plan's risk. - Lead, coordinate, and co-author the production of risk update reports for top management. - Oversee Risk and Control Self-Assessments within Finance and Actuarial teams, enforcing Swiss Re Operational Risk Management standards. - Drive ad hoc assignments including facilitation of brainstorming sessions, risk assessment workshops, and reviews of strategic/financial plans. - Build and maintain a network of experts to understand the business risk profile comprehensively. - University degree with a few years of professional experience in reserving & actuarial, risk consulting, internal audit, or risk management in the insurance industry. - Proficiency in English for clear communication. - Expertise in risk management, internal control frameworks, reserving & actuarial areas, financial risk frameworks, operations, processes, controls, tools, accounting standards, industry norms, and regulatory requirements. - Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance, financial audit, or related fields in the insurance industry. - Demonstrated leadership, customer management skills, independent and critical thinking abilities, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English. - Background in IFRS is advantageous.
