Senior Operation Theatre Technician

Role Overview: As an Operation Theatre Technician, your main responsibility is to prepare the Operation Theatre for all scheduled surgeries in advance. You will handle, check, and sterilize instruments and equipment to ensure they are ready for use during procedures. Additionally, you will be assisting surgeons and nurses by organizing instruments and delivering them promptly. It is vital to monitor and maintain aseptic conditions in the OT at all times to prevent infections. Performing routine checks and maintenance of equipment is crucial to avoid breakdowns during surgeries. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare the Operation Theatre for scheduled surgeries - Handle, check, and sterilize instruments and equipment - Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures - Monitor and maintain aseptic conditions in the OT - Perform routine checks and maintenance of equipment - Keep inventories of instruments, implants, and consumable stocks - Ensure proper disposal of waste and sharps - Guide and supervise junior OT Technicians - Prepare and maintain reports and documents related to OT usage - Handle emergencies efficiently and respond promptly under pressure Qualifications Required: - Diploma or certification in Operation Theatre Technology - Prior experience working in an Operation Theatre setting - Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices - Strong organizational and communication skills - Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment,
