Senior Network Administrator

• 6-8 years

  of hands-on Network administering and managing experience in critical enterprise environments.
• Willing to work in 24x7 shift rotation
• Provide support to team members who escalate network related issues up to the network administration group.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet standards, Wireless standards 802.11 and VLAN 802.1q , 802.1x
• Strong knowledge of STP, LACP, EtherChannel and routing - BGP, OSPF
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex network issues across switching, Firewalls and routers.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst LAN Switches 9300, 9500.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Datacenter Nexus Switches and technologies as VPC
• Experience in Firmware upgrade of critical datacenter Nexus Switches, Cisco LAN Switches and Routers.
• Administering Checkpoint and FortiGate firewalls, ensuring standard configuration, management, and maintenance to protect our network infrastructure.
• Knowledge in Cisco routing configuration and troubleshooting routing issues across P2P, MPLS and Internet links
• Familiarity with network security principles, segmentation, firewall rule management, and NAC policies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., OpManager, CACTI, Splunk, or similar).
• Creating SOP for network activities and knowledge sharing with peers
• Implementing Change in network devices as LAN Switches, Cisco Nexus Switches, Firewall policies in Checkpoint and FortiGate
• Continuous monitoring of Incident tickets getting assigned to Queue and closing within SLA.
• Conduct regular audits on the LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure all configurations & infrastructure are following pre-defined network standards. Support other internal / external audits.
• Knowledge in F5 LB and IPS are a plus
• Any Certification in switching or routing or firewall
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate technical details clearly.
