As a Automation Test Lead at UST in Trivandrum, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and test suites for web, mobile, and API applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading end-to-end test automation efforts across backend and frontend systems. - Collaborating within Agile teams using Scrum methodologies. - Implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and Exploratory Testing. - Analyzing and troubleshooting complex software systems efficiently. - Owning the quality of assigned deliverables and ensuring seamless releases. - Providing regular progress updates, highlighting risks, and documenting defects and resolutions. - Actively contributing to improving QA processes, tools, and team practices. Your must-have skills for this role include: - Strong hands-on programming experience with Core Java (10+ years). - Deep understanding of OOPs concepts and Java-based automation. - Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Appium (for mobile automation), and REST Assured (API testing). - Experience with Cucumber BDD framework. - Good exposure to JDBC and working with relational databases. - Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication (written and verbal) and team collaboration skills. Additionally, good-to-have skills that would be beneficial for this role are: - Experience in Supply Chain or Retail domain applications. - Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git), CI tools (e.g., Jenkins), and test reporting tools. - Exposure to containerization tools (Docker), cloud platforms, or performance testing. - Ability to work with APIs developed in other languages. Qualifications required for this position are a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in automation testing, with 10+ years in Java development preferred.
