Job Description

Provides technical and professional advice and services in the development, optimization, maintenance and control of corporate information architecture, infrastructures and systems to enable the achievement of strategic business goals and objectives
Individuals draw upon knowledge of the standard regulatory requirements (including ISO, FDA and other governing bodies) and guidelines established by information technology professional associations and societies
Includes incident management and disaster recovery Designs, develops, implements and maintains the overall IT platform/infrastructure
Oversee multiple areas within information technology, such as computer hardware, server software, networking, telecommunications, computer support, database analysis, data security, etc Ensure the stability, integrity, and operation of all systems, and oversee the monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software, hardware, and operating systems
Monitor the organizations operational requirements, research strategies and technology solutions, and build the most cost-effective and efficient system to achieve those goals
Lead the development of policies and procedures for computer systems operations
Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted

-Performs technical work, often in support of professional roles -Requires vocational training or the equivalent experience -Performs duties according to established procedures Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience Completes a variety of atypical assignments, as needed Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments Completes work with a limited degree of supervision Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

-Requires understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines

Business Expertise:

-Has a good understanding of how the team integrates with others to achieve objectives

Leadership:

-May provide informal guidance and support to more junior team members

-Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures

-Impacts the quality of own work and its contribution to the team

Interpersonal Skills:

-Uses communication skills to regularly exchange information
