Job Description

As a Treasury Professional at Siemens Energy, your primary focus will be on managing Currency Risk, Insurance Risk, and Pension Management for the South Asia region including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan. In terms of Currency Risk Management, you will be responsible for being the main point of contact for all currency management tasks within the business. This includes identifying foreign currency risks, advising on risk mitigation strategies, collating foreign currency exposure data, monitoring hedge requests, and hedging balance sheet exposures in accordance with Siemens policy. You will also provide rates for offer calculation, report on the net foreign currency position, and advise on hedge accounting and the accounting impact of foreign currency transactions. Regarding Insurance Risk Management, your role will involve overseeing all insurable risks and managing insurance service providers. You will provide guidance on insurance regulations, ensure quick reporting and settlement of claims, and ensure compliance with insurance-related regulations. In Pension Management, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of pension-related asset managers, controlling pension plan funding, and supporting the actuarial valuation process for pension and employee benefit plans. To qualify for this role, you should ideally be a Chartered Accountant or hold a Master's in Business Administration from a reputable institution with a strong academic background. A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in corporate treasury or finance, particularly in areas such as foreign exchange, commodity risk exposure management, business commercial/project finance, insurance, and pensions, is required. You should have in-depth knowledge of currency and commodity markets, Indian central bank guidelines, treasury and risk management practices, insurance regulations, and markets. Proficiency in MS Office suite, Treasury Management Systems, and SAP is necessary, along with the ability to work with customized IT tools at Siemens Treasury. Key competencies for this role include strong interpersonal skills, experience in process optimization within a digitalization and automation context, proficiency in project management, ability to manage multiple stakeholders" expectations, and a basic knowledge of accounting including hedge accounting.
