Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Service Transition at NTT DATA, you will be responsible for the transition of complex services by leading transition teams. Your role will involve various key responsibilities: - Own the transition process, develop the organization's approach, and define acceptance criteria for service transition. - Act as the point of escalation for transition projects and take responsibility for resolving escalated issues. - Stay updated on developments in transition management and maintain expertise in transition management approach and methodology. - Manage risk by planning and ensuring execution of testing, training, and change management activities. - Contribute to the Pre-Sales process by understanding client requirements and designing the required transition process. - Establish positive relationships with stakeholders and engage with them regularly. - Identify resource requirements, negotiate resource usage, and compile process definitions and requirement specifications. - Ensure the environment is prepared to operate and support client services according to Service Level Agreements. - Develop team members within the cross-functional transition team to grow in their roles. - Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence. To excel in this role, you should have: - Significant knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and standards (both Waterfall and Agile). - Strong business acumen with strategic thinking ability. - Ability to enhance client and stakeholder relationships. - Deep understanding of the IT industry and expertise in transition management approaches. - Ability to construct plans and schedules with pricing information and contribute to contract collateral. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Academic qualifications and certifications required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Relevant ITIL certification preferred. - PMBOK and/or Prince II Certification(s) desirable. Required experience: - Extensive experience in Service Transitioning and Project Management, preferably in a global IT services organization. - Engagement across contractual review and service definition. - Managing complex client transition projects in a large enterprise environment. - Communication and negotiation at senior management level. - Expertise in transition management approach and methodology.
