Job Description

As a Senior Manager Graphic Design at GladOwl, you will play a crucial role in leading the design function, guiding a team of designers, and ensuring that all creative output aligns with client objectives and brand identity across print and digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - **Creative Direction & Strategy:** - Lead the ideation and development of visual concepts based on client briefs and marketing objectives. - Plan and oversee design concepts by studying relevant information, market trends, and brand guidelines. - Ensure all creative solutions align with brand positioning, campaign goals, and communication strategy. - **Design Quality & Execution:** - Demonstrate strong graphic design skills covering digital, print, branding, and campaign creatives. - Review and refine design work to ensure high standards of creativity, consistency, and attention to detail. - Oversee the creation of graphics and layouts for various platforms using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. - **Team Leadership & Collaboration:** - Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement. - Allocate and manage design tasks, timelines, and priorities for multiple projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into impactful visuals. - **Client & Stakeholder Management:** - Manage end-to-end client communication from a design perspective, understanding requirements and presenting creative concepts. - Discuss design possibilities, timelines, and deliverables with clients and internal stakeholders. - Handle feedback constructively to refine and finalize outputs. - **Vendor & Production Coordination:** - Coordinate with external agencies, printers, and creative partners as required. - Ensure technical specifications are met for both print and digital production. - **Innovation & Industry Awareness:** - Stay updated with industry-leading software, technologies, and design trends. - Encourage experimentation and fresh thinking within the team while maintaining brand consistency. - **Professionalism & Ownership:** - Uphold professionalism in terms of time, costs, and deadlines for project delivery. - Take complete ownership of the design function, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery. **Requirements:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Design (B.Des, M.Des, Diploma in Graphic Design, or similar). - Minimum 10+ years of experience in design, preferably in an agency or fast-paced marketing environment. - Proven experience in leading design teams and managing creative projects. **Skills & Competencies:** - High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). - Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, conceptual thinking, branding work, and multi-platform design. - Excellent communication and presentation skills for justifying design decisions. - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
