Senior Manager, Applied Data Science

As a Senior Manager of Applied Data Science at Aarki, you will play a crucial role in leading a high-performing data science team dedicated to optimizing our programmatic demand-side platform (DSP). Your responsibilities will include: - Building, nurturing, and mentoring a talented data science team, focusing on technical growth and long-term career development. - Spearheading the development of scalable machine learning pipelines specifically designed for programmatic mobile advertising. - Establishing best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and performance evaluation. - Taking charge of process enhancements across the machine learning lifecycle. - Collaborating with decision science, engineering, and analytics teams in Bangalore and San Francisco to deploy models and conduct experiments effectively. - Ensuring on-time project deliveries and quick resolution of model-related issues in production environments. - Designing and managing data pipelines to efficiently process large-scale datasets for training and evaluation. - Working closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to integrate models seamlessly into production systems. - Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and applying cutting-edge techniques to enhance platform capabilities. - Driving innovation by exploring and adopting new methodologies, tools, and technologies. Qualifications required for the role: - Over 7 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and modeling. - More than 3 years of experience in managing teams of data scientists or ML engineers. - Proficiency in Python and SQL, with knowledge of Spark being beneficial. - Expertise in ML libraries such as Scikit-Learn, LightGBM, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. - Deep understanding of probability, statistical analysis, and experimental design. - Demonstrated experience in deploying ML models into production and ensuring continuous model observability. - Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively. - Knowledge of RTB, auction theory, and high-throughput low-latency environments would be advantageous.
