Senior Linux System Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Linux Systems Engineer at Mathisys, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain Linux-based systems in the organization's IT infrastructure. Your expertise in Linux operating systems, scripting skills, and collaboration abilities will play a crucial role in your success. You will also handle system administration tasks, automation/scripting, monitoring/troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and manage Linux infrastructure (bare-metal and virtual) for ultra-low-latency trading. - Automate systems provisioning and configuration management to streamline operations. - Ensure high availability and failover readiness by implementing resilient design and incident response practices. - Automate various tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as Bash and Python. - Monitor system performance continuously and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. - Collaborate closely with software engineers to assess and enhance end-to-end trading performance. Qualifications: - Hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Possess 7+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration. - Proficient in scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation tasks. - Have prior experience working with high-performance computing and real-time systems. - Familiarity with automation tools and cloud platforms. - Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities. - Capable of working independently, managing priorities effectively, and mentoring junior engineers.,
