Job Description

Sr. Linux Admin Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux based systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud. Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud. Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud. Ensure systems always comply with security policies, including vulnerability assessment, patching, and hardening. Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties and management. Manage system changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability. Proactive capacity planning and report to Management Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field 8+ years of Linux Admin experience in RedHat, CentOS and Ubuntu Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) VMware Certified Technical Associate - Data Center Virtualization ITIL Foundation certified .
