Senior Lecturer

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer to join our team at the University of York Computer Science. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and excellent teaching skills, with 5-7 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibility

• Develop and deliver high-quality lecture materials and assessments for undergraduate and postgraduate students.


• Provide individualized attention and support to students through mentoring and tutoring.


• Participate in curriculum development and revision to ensure courses remain relevant and effective.


• Collaborate with other faculty members to achieve departmental goals.


• Engage in research activities and publish papers in reputable conferences and journals.


• Contribute to the development of new courses and programs.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (M.Tech/M.E.).


• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, including Ph.D. holders.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for interacting with students, colleagues, and industry partners.


• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.


• Experience with teaching methodologies and technologies, such as online learning platforms and virtual classrooms.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
