Role Overview: The Department of Computer Science at the University of York, a top 10 UK computer science department, is looking for a skilled individual to join their team. As a postholder, you will be working in the field of Artificial Intelligence with a focus on LLM-based research. You will have the opportunity to lead research projects, develop new research approaches, and design modules for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Produce new research approaches and use appropriate research methodologies - Lead research projects with support from the research teams - Design, develop, and deliver modules for students - Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and research staff - Focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Qualifications Required: - PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience - Appropriate academic professional and teaching qualifications or willingness to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice - Well-established national reputation in Artificial Intelligence with a track record in LLM-based research - Specific knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Note: The University of York promotes diversity and inclusivity, encouraging applications from individuals of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic backgrounds, and women for senior roles.
