Senior Lead - Research & Content

We at RuTrust AgriGate are looking for someone who can find the story inside the data and turn it into content that informs, influences, and builds trust across the rural ecosystem, specifically for AgriGate and the services it offers.

Role & responsibilities

• Engage with entities / institutes (Corporate, Government, Foundations etc.) conducting Agricultural research to understand & access their cumulative knowledge.
• Work closely with tech team in ingesting data in different formats into AgriGate tech platform to enable scalable learning for hyperlocal advisory.
• Turn agri data, research, and field insights into

  clear, powerful content

  reports, explainers, decks, articles, as videos/reels/documentaries, using analog and digital tools such Canva, PowerPoint, Excel, Freeform, Photoshop and AI such as Canva, ChatGPT etc, both for AgriGate app and for various social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter and others.
• Spot patterns in datasets (crop trends, yields, pricing, farmer behaviour) and turn them into meaningful stories.
• Work closely with the field teams to ensure insights are accurate and actionable and not out of context.
• Lead research-led storytelling and thought leadership in agriculture.
• Simplify complex agronomy and agri-economics without dumbing it down.
• Set the bar for quality, credibility, and clarity in all insight-driven content.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong experience in

  data-backed content and research

  (agriculture, agri-tech, rural development preferred).
• Ability to read data, question it, and explain what actually matters.
• Excellent writing skillsstructured, crisp, and grounded in facts.
• Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments.
• High ownership and initiativeyou don’t wait for perfect briefs.
• Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, Capcut, ChatGPT, other basic software and digital tools for content creation.
• Background preferably in Agriculture / Agronomy / Agricultural Economics.
• Experience working with farmer-centric platforms, field research, or agri datasets.
• Ability to collaborate directly with agronomists and data teams.
