As a highly skilled Senior Jewelry CAD Artist, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic team by transforming creative concepts into detailed and precise digital designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Your keen eye for detail, exceptional technical proficiency, and deep understanding of diamond jewelry design will be essential in this role. - Develop detailed and accurate 3D models of jewelry designs using CAD software. - Translate artistic concepts and sketches into technical designs suitable for manufacturing. - Create precise technical drawings and specifications for each design, including dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions. - Ensure all designs meet the technical standards and requirements for production. - Prepare CAD files for prototyping and 3D printing to create physical models of jewelry designs. - Collaborate with manufacturing teams to refine prototypes and ensure accuracy. - Review and revise CAD designs to ensure high quality and precision. - Conduct thorough checks to identify and correct any design flaws or inconsistencies. - Maintain organized records of all CAD designs, technical drawings, and related documentation. - Archive completed designs for future reference and use. - Communicate effectively with team members, including designers, jewelers, and production staff. - Provide regular updates on design progress and address any issues or concerns promptly. - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in jewelry design and CAD software. - Experiment with new techniques and tools to enhance design quality and efficiency. - Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines. - Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and production. - Maintain proficiency in the latest CAD software and tools used in jewelry design. - Continuously improve skills and stay informed about software updates and new features. - Utilize CAD software (such as Rhino, Matrix, Blender, or similar) to create accurate and detailed digital models of jewellery designs, incorporating diamonds and other precious stones. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design, or related field. - 5 years of experience as a CAD designer in the jewellery industry, with a focus on diamond jewellery preferred. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. - Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming design challenges. - Portfolio showcasing previous CAD design work, with an emphasis on diamond jewellery designs. - Passion for the diamond industry and a commitment to excellence in craftsmanship and design.
