Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Jewelry CAD designer to join our dynamic team. The senior Jewelry CAD designer will be responsible for transforming creative concepts into detailed and precise digital designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of the intricacies of Lab grown diamond jewelry design. Design Creation: Develop detailed and accurate 3D models of jewelry designs using CAD software. Translate artistic concepts and sketches into technical designs that can be manufactured. Technical Drawings and Specifications: Create precise technical drawings and specifications for each design, including dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions. Ensure all designs meet the technical standards and requirements for production Documentation and Archiving: Maintain organized records of all CAD designs, technical drawings, and related documentation. Archive completed designs for future reference and use. Prototyping and 3D Printing: Prepare CAD files for prototyping and 3D printing to create physical models of jewelry designs. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to refine prototypes and ensure accuracy. Quality Control: Review and revise CAD designs to ensure high quality and precision. Conduct thorough checks to identify and correct any design flaws or inconsistencies. Innovation and Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in jewelry design and CAD software. Experiment with new techniques and tools to enhance design quality and efficiency. Communication and Feedback: Communicate effectively with team members, including designers, jewelers, and production staff. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines. Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD software (such as Rhino, Matrix, Blender, or similar) to create accurate and detailed digital models of jewellery designs, incorporating diamonds and other precious stones. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design, or related field. 3-7 years of experience as a CAD designer in the jewellery industry, with a focus on diamond jewellery preferred. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming design challenges.
