What You&aposll Do (Responsibilities):

• Design, build, and own core backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring Framework.
• Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting best practices through code reviews and pair programming.
• Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks in our services, messaging queues (ActiveMQ), and database interactions (Oracle).
• Drive the evolution of our cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), ensuring our services are deployed efficiently and reliably.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and front-end engineers to translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
• Champion a culture of quality by writing clean, maintainable code and implementing comprehensive tests.
  

Who You Are (Required Qualifications):

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
• Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expert proficiency in the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data) for building enterprise-scale web applications.
• Strong experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle, including data modeling and writing optimized SQL.
• Hands-on experience with messaging queue technologies like ActiveMQ (or similar, such as RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining applications on a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for breaking down complex challenges.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  

Bonus Points For (Preferred Qualifications):

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and practices.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) and understanding when to use them.
• Exposure to serverless architecture and FaaS (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• While this is a backend role, a high-level understanding of modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
