As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for the following: - Analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. The code must be used in the core version of applications available for sale commercially. - Interacting with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. - Participating in software design meetings and analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements. - Writing technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. - Writing code, completing programming, and performing testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. - Completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. - Training and communicating with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on systems application. - May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results. - May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences. - Other related duties assigned as needed. What You'll Bring: - Minimum 7+ years of experience in developing Java applications or services. - Knowledge and hands-on experience in Java (preferably Java 8 and above), Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Batch (a plus), Spring Boot, Restful Web services, any SQL DB like PostgresDB, MySQL, NoSQL DB like Cassandra, Dynamo DB, message streaming framework like Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ. - Basic understanding of AWS and its services like S3, RDS. - Knowledge and experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Microservices using the latest technologies. - Knowledge and experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting services live in production. - Experience with Quality Assurance tools like SonarQube, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, or any similar tool. - Experience in using CICD environments for deployments. - Little or basic understanding of DevOps or the Network layer of a Microservice. About The Team: You will have the opportunity to work on Cloud-native microservices for APM/PSP connector as part of the Tech modernization project.
