Senior Java Backend Developer (Java, Kafka)

As a Sr Java Backend Developer at our company, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services using Java and the Spring Framework. You will work closely with senior software engineer managers to coordinate and manage software development projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, you will ensure timely and high-quality delivery of digital software solutions. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the planning and execution of software development processes, prioritizing and assigning tasks to team members, participating in code reviews, and providing constructive feedback to support growth and development. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and manage software development projects - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely delivery of digital solutions - Assist in planning and executing software development processes - Prioritize and assign tasks to team members - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback - Build a network of talent and mentor others - Coach and give feedback to support talent development - Design, implement, and deploy software components - Optimize application performance for speed and scalability - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner - Lead and serve as a functional SME across the company - Acquire relevant technology and financial industry skills - Demonstrate knowledge of automating code quality and performance Qualifications: - 8-12 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or Enterprise Architecture - Expertise in Java, KAFKA Messaging, Spring boot rest API, Microservices, Spring MVC, Angular, AWS Cloud, Agile - Experience in designing and maintaining backend services and APIs - Ability to implement and maintain scalable microservices architectures - Proficiency in code quality, testing, and build processing in CI/CD - Hands-on development experience with Java - Familiarity with web services such as SOAP and REST - Experience with data modeling languages like XML and JSON - Knowledge of networking technologies like routing/switching and load balancing In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will need a Bachelors/University degree. You should also have experience in developing and maintaining robust and scalable web applications, integrating microservices architecture using Kafka, working with SQL and standard database query tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Experience with Angular, Red Hat OpenShift, and CI/CD development methodologies and tools is also beneficial.
