Job Description

Position
: Lead/Senior VDI Engineer Omnissa Horizon
Location
: Pune, India
Role
: Lead the design, implementation, and support of Omnissa Horizon-based VDI environments, focusing on VDI 2.0 modernization.
Responsibilities
:
Deploy and manage Omnissa Horizon environments
Migrate legacy VDI platforms to Horizon
Integrate with Workspace ONE, Active Directory, and endpoint management
Provide Tier 3 support and root cause analysis
Automate desktop provisioning and app delivery
Monitor and optimize system performance
Lead business continuity and disaster recovery testing
Mentor junior engineers
Required Qualifications
:
7+ years in IT infrastructure, 4+ years in VDI
Expertise in Omnissa Horizon, Instant Clones, App Volumes, DEM
Strong knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy
Experience with Workspace ONE, Thin Clients, hybrid VDI solutions
Preferred
:
VMware Horizon/Workspace ONE certifications
Scripting (PowerShell, Python)
Exposure to cloud-hosted VDI (e.g., Horizon on Azure)
Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
