Senior Industrial Design Engineer

As a Senior Industrial Design Engineer at Alphadroid India Pvt Ltd, your role involves contributing to the design and development of new products from ideation to preproduction. You will be a part of the Design team that functions as an in-house design COE. Your responsibilities include: - Developing design concepts that meet user needs, are aesthetically pleasing, and feasible to manufacture. - Assisting the UX/UI team in creating prototypes of new products and testing them for usability and performance. - Collaborating with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. - Staying updated on the latest trends in industrial design and manufacturing. - Conducting research and analysis with the Product Category team. - Refining designs based on customer input and collaborating with Design, Engineering, and Product Managers. - Developing new technology for protective headwear products. - Liaising with Product Category, Marketing, and Customer Service for User Experience development. - Owning and signing off on Industrial Design Language and delivering visual demonstrators. - Providing bid support for products not fully aligned with other technology units. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant design or engineering field. - Background in Industrial Design or Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience. - Demonstrable experience in early product development. - Project management experience in industry, internship placement, or university. - Competence in 2D and 3D design software like Adobe Creative Suite and SolidWorks or similar. Preferred Skills or Experiences: - Skilled in rapid prototyping techniques including 3D printing. - Experience in software development and electronics. - Specific experience with PPE and/or body-worn devices.
