Job Description

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems for our innovative products. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing electronic circuits and systems, covering analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. - Performing schematic capture, PCB layout, and design simulations using industry-standard design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, Cadence. - Selecting appropriate electronic components based on performance, cost, and availability requirements. - Developing and executing test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability. - Conducting hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. - Collaborating with firmware, software, and mechanical engineers to integrate hardware components into the overall system. - Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations like EMI/EMC and safety. - Creating and maintaining detailed design documentation including schematics, PCB layouts, and test reports. - Participating in design reviews and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. - Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in hardware technologies and industry trends. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. - Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard design tools like Altium, OrCAD, Cadence. - Experience with analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, and memory systems. - Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet. - Experience with hardware testing and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters. - Solid understanding of EMI/EMC principles and design techniques. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications for this role include: - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. - Experience in a specific industry or application domain like telecommunications, consumer electronics, automotive. - Experience with FPGA design or embedded systems development. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for test automation. - Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
