Job Description

As a product compliance expert, you will play a crucial role in developing compliance requirements by working collaboratively across different functions. Your responsibilities will include leading cross-functional teams to ensure compliance timelines are met and certification deliverables are achieved. You will be responsible for setting up and conducting product safety and grid performance testing for Enphase products such as Micro-Inverters, Battery Storage systems, and Controllers. Providing interpretations of compliance requirements to the design and development teams during various product development stages will be an essential part of your role. Additionally, you will be managing and collaborating with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) to create test plans, reports, and certifications. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing a cutting-edge compliance test lab and team to support compliance activities effectively. To excel in this role, you must have a deep understanding and proficiency in various test standards such as UL1741, IEEE 1547, UL1998/991, UL60730, UL9540, UL9540A, UL1973, IEC 62109-1/-2, FCC, CE, NOM, ISED, NEC, NFPA, and other relevant product regulations. In terms of qualifications, you should hold a BE/MS or higher degree in electrical engineering or a related field with at least 8 years of experience in product testing, compliance, and homologation. You should also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in guiding multiple products through the certification and homologation process successfully. A "can-do" mindset and high energy levels are essential for this role. Your hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, along with a knack for solving complex product compliance challenges, will be invaluable. Proficiency in using test equipment like O-scope, Power Analyzer, Hi-pot, High Current/Voltage Source, DAQ systems, thermal chambers, RLC loads, etc., is required. Detailed knowledge of relevant National, UL, International, Grid connection, and National Electric Codes standards is crucial, and familiarity with IEC and EN standards would be advantageous. Experience in conducting electrical abuse/safety testing using high current switch controls, high voltage DC sources, and battery module thermal testing chambers will be beneficial. This is a full-time, permanent position with a morning shift schedule and an in-person work location.,
