Senior Golang Developer

Role Overview: Join the dynamic Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team supporting the Banking and Financial Services business at Macquarie. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to software systems within the SRE framework and collaborate with stakeholders to provide monitoring solutions using modern technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain the reliability, scalability, and performance of large-scale, cloud-based applications and infrastructure. - Manage software systems by developing, automating, and enhancing reliability and performance within a DevOps/SRE framework. Qualifications Required: - 6-9 years of experience in software design & development with a strong understanding of software development principles, proficient in Golang, and writing testable code. - Good knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS/GCP) and DevOps tools (e.g., GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.) with the ability to handle performance, scalability, and reliability issues. - Well-versed in Agile methodologies and data processing pipelines, advantageous to have knowledge of SRE concepts (e.g., SLOs/SLIs, error budget, anti-fragility, etc.). - Familiarity with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog) and log monitoring tools (e.g., Sumologic, Splunk, etc.). - Collaborative with excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in building playbooks and documentation processes.
