Senior Geologist - Industrial Minerals

We are hiring a senior, field-oriented geologist to lead geological control across multiple industrial mineral mines supplying to the ceramic industry.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on mine-level variability, selective mining, quality consistency, and integration with processing and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

Mine Geology & Control

• Bench-wise and zone-wise geological mapping and mine control
• Identification and segregation of high iron, organic, sandy, or problematic zones
• Selective mining vs bulk mining strategy implementation
• Stockpile segregation and blending guidance

Quality & Consistency

• Control of iron behaviour, LOI, organic content, and plasticity trends
• Geological inputs to manage PSD variation
• Coordination with lab and processing teams to reduce downstream corrections

Planning & Reserves

• Mine planning support, geological models, and reserve estimation
• Life-of-mine quality optimization
• Statutory geology documentation support

Technical Interface

• Coordination with mining, processing, lab, R&D, and technical sales teams
• Root-cause analysis of ceramic issues such as black core, bloating, firing instability, and colour variation

Required Qualifications

• 15–18 years experience in industrial minerals mining
• Experience in kaolin, clay, limestone, feldspar, bauxite, or similar materials
• Open-pit mining exposure
• Strong practical experience in selective mining and quality control
• Willingness to work at mine sites and plants

Preferred

• Experience supplying to ceramic, cement, or glass industries
• Understanding of beneficiation and processing impact
• Team mentoring experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
