Senior Full Stack Engineer - Java

As a Software Development Engineer - Java Full stack at Health Catalyst, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to develop innovative tools that support the company's mission to enhance healthcare performance, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Your work will play a crucial role in improving outcomes for patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build responsive, high-performing web applications using React or modern UI frameworks. - Develop robust backend services and APIs using Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and Drools. - Collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. - Integrate applications with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and leverage cloud-native services. - Optimize system performance, scalability, and maintainability. - Apply best practices in software engineering, testing, and continuous integration. - Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers. - Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred. - Strong working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, React, Microservices, and Data Structures & Algorithms. - Strong working knowledge of CI/CD. - Strong knowledge of and experience with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information accurately and timely. - Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize work effectively. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Minimum of 5 years" work experience as an app developer. - BS or MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. - Preferred experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture patterns, especially Azure or AWS. - Experience in healthcare IT software development and understanding of key data models and interoperability standards. - Knowledge of healthcare compliance and its application to Application Security. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development practices. - Experience in Business Intelligence or Data warehousing. - Preferred education includes a BS/BA or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technology/science degree. - At least 5 years of experience in building commercial software, SaaS, or digital platforms.,
