Senior Full Stack Developer Location: Kolkata (Onsite - Work from Office) Role Overview: As the Senior Full Stack Shopify Developer, you will take ownership of our e-commerce and mobile platforms. Youll lead a team of developers (Shopify and React Native), ensuring timely delivery, code quality, and performance. You will also play a key role in architectural decisions, optimizations, and cross-platform integrations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Tech Leadership a. Lead, guide, and mentor a 4-member development team (2 Shopify, 2 React Native developers). b. Conduct code reviews , define best practices, and enforce coding standards. c. Translate product and business needs into well-architected technical solutions. d. Drive sprint planning , task allocation, and daily team standups. 2. Shopify Commerce a. Oversee development on Shopify Plus , including custom theme development using Liquid , Shopify CLI, and js implementations. b. Optimize site performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals, and Lighthouse metrics. 3. Mobile App Oversight a) Supervise development on our React Native mobile app , ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality across iOS and Android. 4. DevOps & CI/CD a. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines across web and mobile. b. Ensure smooth deployment, rollback, and version control processes. 5. API & Integration a. Lead the integration of 3rd-party APIs (CRM, payment, analytics, logistics). b. Work on REST/GraphQL-based Shopify Admin & Storefront APIs. 6. Reporting & Strategy a. Regularly report progress, blockers, and opportunities to senior management. b. Recommend architectural and tooling improvements to improve developer velocity. 7. Database and backend: c. Should be working on SQL and NoSQL database to automate the cross functional needs. d. Will work on backend to create APIs for integrating different applications in-and-out of the organisation. Required Skills: a. 6+ years of hands-on development experience, with 4+ years on Shopify Plus . b. Proven experience in leading small development teams . c. Strong proficiency in: i. Shopify (Liquid, js, ThemeKit, Shopify CLI, metafields) ii. Headless frontends (React.js, Next.js) iii. React Native for cross-platform mobile apps iv. REST/GraphQL APIs , CI/CD tools, Git, and performance optimization. d. Sound understanding of agile/scrum processes and task management tools. e. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Bitbucket/GitHub, Vercel, and Firebase. f. Working knowledge of analytics tools (GA4, GTM), and push notifications. g. Should have experience of working with one frontend end backend language respectively followed by knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Qualification and Industry: a. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. b. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, web technologies, or e-commerce is a plus.
