Senior Frontend Developer (React)

As a Senior Frontend Developer at our fast-growing, venture-backed startup, your role will involve leading the design and development of user-facing systems. You will be the primary owner of the frontend experience, collaborating closely with product and backend teams to create modern, performant, and intuitive UIs. While full-stack experience is beneficial, this position primarily focuses on frontend technologies, particularly React. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own the architecture and implementation of the web UI, from wireframes to deployment. - Collaborate with backend and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end features. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested frontend code. - Define frontend best practices, tooling, and component patterns. - Help shape the products look and feel, emphasizing user experience. - Contribute to team building and potentially grow into a frontend leadership role. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of experience developing production-quality UIs with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Strong experience building, testing, and shipping web applications. - Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and browser behaviors. - Experience integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs. - Comfortable working in startup environments - autonomous, fast-moving, and team-oriented. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with full-stack development (e.g., Python, Node.js, or Go). - Familiarity with modern design systems, component libraries, and tools like Tailwind, Material UI, or Radix. - Strong product sense with attention to UX and visual polish. - Experience with CI/CD and frontend testing tools (Jest, Cypress, etc.). - Interest in or experience with data visualization, AI/ML interfaces, or admin dashboards. - Ability to collaborate across disciplines and mentor junior engineers.
