Senior Freelance Flutter Developer (BLoC) – Apple App Store & TestFlight Specialist

SoloBudd is a Manchester-based "tech for good" startup on a mission to make solo travel safer, more authentic, and more connected.

We are bootstrapped, passionate, and moving fast. The app is built, and we are now at the final hurdle before our go-to-market launch in Bangkok.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced and reliable freelance Flutter developer to be our dedicated technical partner for all things deployment and maintenance.

Your immediate priority is to take our existing Flutter codebase and get it ready for our internal testers. This is the most urgent task.

Long-term, we want to build a real relationship. We need a go-to expert we can rely on for bug fixes, troubleshooting, and deploying future updates as we scale. This will be a part-time, as-needed role.

Immediate Priorities (Your First Milestone)

Must have your own Mac device; this is non-negotiable for this role.

Take our existing Flutter project and successfully build the .ipa (Apple) file.

Navigate the Apple Developer portal, manage certificates, and provisioning profiles.

Deploy the build to TestFlight for our final round of user testing.

Manage the final submission for public App Store release.

Long-Term Responsibilities

Act as our primary contact for debugging and troubleshooting any bugs that emerge.

Work with our founder to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Compile and deploy future hotfixes and app updates to both stores.

Must-Have Requirements

You must own a Mac capable of building for iOS.

Proven, expert-level experience with the entire Apple App Store submission process, including Certificates, Provisioning Profiles, .ipa builds, and TestFlight.

Minimum 4 years of professional experience with Flutter and Dart.

Strong proficiency with BLoC state management and Clean Architecture principles. Our app is built this way, and you must be able to navigate it effectively for bug fixing.

Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

Experience with Google Play Store deployments.

Familiarity with Supabase.

Availability

Available for an immediate start on the initial App Store build.

Must be generally reachable during UK working hours (10 am - 5 pm) for communication.

Flexible, part-time hours based on project needs (e.g., a few hours one week, more the next).

Must be available to respond quickly for emergency, high-priority bug fixes.
