Solely responsible for
fashion forecasting
, including trends in color, fabric, and seasonal range development
Develop complete design concepts and collections based on market trends and brand positioning
Coordinate and ensure timely turnaround of
sampling
and
prototype development
Ensure
cost-effective
design processes without compromising creativity or quality
Oversee
sourcing and development
of fabrics, trims, and accessories aligned with design requirements
Work closely with production, merchandising, and buying teams to ensure smooth workflow and execution
Ensure designs align with target customer profiles and current fashion trends
Lead and mentor junior designers and guide them through the design and development process
