Senior Experience Designer

As an Experience Designer at Slingshot Games, you will be part of a team working on new features for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a top-grossing mobile game. Your role involves creating user interfaces that enhance the player experience and collaborating with various disciplines to bring creative ideas to life. Key Responsibilities: - Build relationships with artists, game designers, development directors, and producers to prioritize design goals and find balanced solutions for player, business, and technical needs. - Partner with engineers to ensure that designs are efficient and achievable within existing technical frameworks. - Design and refine concepts, wireframes, and prototypes while incorporating research and team feedback to achieve optimal results. - Promote UX and UI guidelines, design principles, and best practices to enhance the overall player experience. - Create complex interfaces in the game engine to match design specifications. - Advocate for design excellence, accessibility, and usability in all aspects of the game. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Figma, particularly in working with design systems and following best practices. - 5+ years of experience in user experience design, interaction design, or a similar role. - Expertise in implementing designs in the Unity game engine. - Portfolio showcasing shipped products from preproduction to release. - Strong familiarity with mobile game design principles and usability standards. - Willingness to consistently play the game to gain a deep understanding of the player experience and gameplay systems.
