Role Overview: As a Buyer at Zydus, your main responsibility will be to manage the procurement of various chemicals, resins, and media required for pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical production. You will be sourcing from multiple regions with a significant spend base, converting Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for project tracking and execution. Additionally, you will negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Procurement of Chemicals: - Manage procurement of chemicals, resins, and media for pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical production. - Source impurities, columns, and consumables. - Source clinical services for new molecule development and external testing. - Convert Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders based on recommendations. - Ensure timely delivery through effective follow-up and coordination. - Negotiation: - Negotiate contracts with suppliers focusing on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. - Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality or delivery issues. - Vendor Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. - Regularly evaluate supplier performance and address issues. - Compliance: - Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and regulations. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
