Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes developed in
SSIS
.
Validate data movement and transformation across various layers of the data pipeline.
Perform data reconciliation between source systems, staging, and data warehouse.
Identify and report defects, and work closely with developers to ensure resolution.
Analyze SQL queries and stored procedures to verify data logic and accuracy.
Conduct regression and performance testing of ETL jobs.
Collaborate with BI developers to ensure accuracy of Power BI reports and dashboards.
Validate data models and KPIs represented in Power BI against source data.
Automate testing processes where possible using SQL scripts or third-party tools.
Document test results and maintain test data sets and environments.

Required Skills:

Strong experience in
ETL testing
, particularly with
SSIS
.
Advanced SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
Experience in
Power BI
for report validation and KPI verification.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, SCD, fact/dimension tables).
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
