**Role Overview:** You will play a crucial role in developing and driving a multi-year technology strategy for a complex platform. Leading multiple software development teams, you will architect solutions at scale to empower the business and oversee all aspects of the SDLC: design, build, deliver, and maintain. Your responsibilities will include managing software engineers, providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship to foster team and individual growth. Additionally, you will attract, onboard, develop, and retain diverse top talents while promoting an inclusive and collaborative team culture. Your expertise will be pivotal in continuously improving technical skills, standards, practices, architecture, and documentation within the engineering teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and drive a multi-year technology strategy for a complex platform - Lead multiple software development teams, architecting solutions at scale - Manage software engineers, providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship - Attract, onboard, develop, and retain diverse top talents - Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture - Continuously improve technical skills, standards, practices, architecture, and documentation - Facilitate technical debate and decision-making with an appreciation for trade-offs - Push the status quo by identifying, proposing, and driving initiatives to advance technical skills and practices **Qualifications Required:** - Results-oriented, collaborative, pragmatic, and continuous improvement mindset - 10+ years of engineering experience, with 5-6 years in leading highly performant teams - Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for developing new applications - Experience in making architectural and design-related decisions for large-scale platforms - Strong background in managing and enabling people's growth and performance - Practical experience in hiring and developing engineering teams and culture - Excellent communication and collaboration skills across the organization - Analytical and decision-making skills integrating technical and business requirements **Note:** Wayfair runs the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States and is looking for individuals based in Bangalore, India, to comply with their team's hybrid work schedule requirements.,
